Our law firm represents its clients in a wide variety of economic and civil cases before both the ordinary courts of Hungary, and in the proceedings brought before permanent or ad hoc courts of arbitration.
Introduction
Our law firm was founded by Dr. Tamás Bild and Dr. Csaba Fekete lawyers in 1995.
As a result of the constant development from the very beginning based on the persistent work of the founders with their successful business past of insurance soliciting and judicial activity, the firm and the two real estate developer, housing and asset valuation companies in its direct interest now employ 20 staff members.
The law firm has been operating as Fekete Law Firm in its present legal and ownership form since January 1st, 2003.
Ever since its foundation and up to this date the law firm has been primarily involved in insurance consultancy, complex representation of credit institutions, legal assistance in the establishment and operation of business associations, mergers of companies, administrative matters, real estate transactions, construction law, competition law, mixed contractual issues, actions for damages and cases of medical malpractice.
In the above areas of law, we often gained reputation by undertaking complex and pioneering legal and financial tasks and solving them by trying and testing the work of our assembled team of specialised lawyers in various areas of the law.
In order to meet the ever-increasing demands of the insurance and credit institutions, business associations, individuals and various institutions and the new and emerging challenges in legal counselling, we have strengthened our professional profile by facilitating the continuous training of the lawyers and the trainee lawyers.

Today we carry out our activities throughout the entire scope of civil law and the closely related legal areas, such as business and banking law, advertising and copyrights, private law, family law, economic criminal law, merger of businesses and due diligence services, corporate outsourcing, real estate development and real estate investment. The involvement of our lawyers in mediation procedures enables us to provide quick and out-of-court settlement of our clients’ civil proceedings.
Our clientele is mainly formed by Hungarian small and medium enterprises, but we also provide permanent legal representation on behalf of several Hungarian multinational companies.

Representation of credit institutes, banking law

Insurance consultancy, actions for damages
For many years, our law firm has provided representation to several well-known insurance companies, in respect of which it has obtained extensive knowledge concerning the claims settlement practices of insurance companies.
In the course of the years our law firm has represented and still represents the victims of a large number of actions for damages. In most of these cases we have managed to and still succeed in settling such legal disputes by avoiding litigation. Of course, if the solution proposed by the insurance company in the out-of-court procedure is not acceptable for our client, we are ready to represent the interests of our client during the litigation process as well.
These actions for damages include claims for damages arising from traffic accidents, accidents at work and from medical malpractice.

Bankruptcy and winding-up proceedings
The associates at our law firm provide help to our clients in the aforementioned areas of law, whether relating to legal consultancy from either the position of the debtor, or that of the creditor. We recommend the related services of our law firm especially in the following cases:
- enforcement of claims against debtor entities, even including cases when such enforcement is only possible against debtors in a state of insolvency;
- legal consultancy and representation provided for insolvent, or nearly insolvent entities concerning the implementation of bankruptcy and winding-up proceedings;

Competition law
Based on our extensive experiences partially based on the legal representation in the proceedings brought before the Hungarian Competition Authority the Law Firm offers advice and co-operation to its clients in the following areas:
- developing solutions being in compliance with the competition rules in the field of company mergers and co-operations;
- counselling in cases of abuse of a dominant position;
- taking action against business competitors using unfair market instruments, representation before the Hungarian Competition Authority;

Provision of criminal representation
Our law firm efficiently represents its clients in criminal proceedings from the investigation procedure until the court proceedings are completed. With regard to our activity in criminal proceedings – given the fact that investigative actions do not necessarily correspond to office hours – we demonstrate the utmost amount of flexibility in order to protect the interests of our clients.

Real estate development and real estate investment
Our law firm has been involved in the successful implementation of investments and complex development programs since 1999 – with another common, fashionable term: in project management.
PDuring project management, complex tasks need to be solved, amongst which, under the current Hungarian legal conditions the co-ordination and planning of legal and financial tasks, together with the alignment thereof with other areas of the project are predominant.
On the basis of the experience gained during the initial projects – in the amount of HUF 100-200 million – in 2002 we were able to undertake the co-ordination of the legal and banking tasks of the Malom (Mill) Centre Project implemented in the centre of Kecskemét.
Simultaneously with other projects, our law firm also carries out the civil law, banking co-ordination and financial legal management of the so-called Arboretum Project.
Our law firm is guided by purposefulness, accuracy, appearance of design, unconditional sense of responsibility, and teamwork experience in co-ordinating the experiences (amongst other things its relationships established with the press) gained during project management.
We primarily undertake legal and banking co-ordination counselling of certain projects based on our experiences obtained from successful teamwork and our knowledge gained from the successful implementation of these projects.
If case we do identify with the project goal, we undertake the project management (determining the project goal, planning, implementation and co-ordination of the pre-closure processes, project closure, and finally participation in project evaluation) as well.
